Sara and Steve met in early 2022, shortly after the new year began. Sara had recently re-joined the dating app Bumble, as Steve was just a few days from giving up on online dating in general. Their paths crossed only when Sara decided to change her radius from 2 miles to 7 miles, thankfully discovering Steve's no-nonsense profile. She was drawn to his professional looking headshot and the clearly-stated standards on his profile. Steve was drawn to Sara's career-driven mindset and cute photos.

Before meeting in person, Steve almost unmatched with Sara. He has a decently strict 2-day response rule for new ladies he meets online. At the time they started talking, Sara was just beginning a multi-day work trip. Sara did not respond to Steve for 3 days. Steve had his finger on the button to remove Sara from his chat inbox, but decided against it and gave her another day. Sara message and apologized the next day, completely oblivious to the fact that she was on the chopping block. Steve was happy to see her response and immediately decided to lock in their first date. (Ask them each about this story, they'll each tell it a bit differently!)

At the end of their date at Tropical Smoothie, Steve decided to take the opportunity to invite Sara to a second date on the spot - a bold move! Steve continued to leave Sara messages in cipher code for the next few days and she loved figuring out the messages until the next date. After the second date, Sara told both of her parents while she didn't love him yet, she felt her feelings would grow over time as she knew Steve was the guy she was going to marry. And over 2 years later, Steve and Sara continue to share so much in common from values to hobbies and now, eternal love.

Transplants from NJ and NY respectively, Steve and Sara are proud to now call Cary, North Carolina their home. Although they love  traveling around the US and Caribbean several times a year, the happy couple enjoys balancing their time in NC as well. When not working or traveling, Sara is either working with the incredible tech theater program, 4D Productions NC, or serving in her role as board member for the Raleigh Symphony Orchestra, while Steve often can be found enjoying time both at the pool hall and rock climbing gym, or at home tinkering with technology to upgrade the house. They are both proud roommates to their cat friends, Orion and Madisyn.

While each will be keeping their last name, Sara and Steve are excited to be soon introduced as a married couple. With the next chapter, they are both looking forward to starting a family together in the future the most.  They are immensely thankful for the support of their family and friends over the years and are ecstatic to celebrate this new and special milestone with them!
